My friends think some of things I do are weird?

My mother has taught me to do things certain ways. I'm 15 and haven't thought of it until my friends thought it was gross/wrong. My mother has always made sure I'm wearing extra clothes. She makes me wear long underwear with a undershirt year round. Therefore I only own jeans and long sleeved shirts. I've always done what she told me.
